CONNECTING TO ROCKSTAR SERVERS...

Rockstar has now shown a much clearer picture of the vehicles coming to GTA 6. The August 27 Grand Theft Auto VI: An Extended Look added more driving footage and showed cars, motorcycles, boats and aircraft in everyday use across Leonida. Rockstar has also officially named several vehicles through its preorder and edition material.
There is still an important distinction, though. Rockstar has not published one complete master list containing every vehicle that will be available at launch. Some models have been named directly by Rockstar, while many others have been identified from official footage.
So this GTA 6 car list focuses on vehicles that have been officially named or clearly shown so far, while keeping community identifications separate from confirmed Rockstar information.
The lineup goes well beyond cars.
Rockstar's official material shows sports cars, sedans, SUVs, classic vehicles, motorcycles, boats, personal watercraft, helicopters and other aircraft. The Extended Look also gives us a much better idea of how vehicles fit into normal gameplay, with driving, theft, pursuits and water travel all appearing naturally in the world.
That variety fits Leonida well. The setting moves from dense urban streets to rural roads, wetlands, islands and open water, so transportation is a major part of how players experience the map.
The strongest vehicle confirmations come from Rockstar itself.
Its official GTA VI edition material names:
'95 Grotti Cheetah
'55 Vapid Stanier Sedan
'67 Vapid Dominator Buggy
Shitzu Squalo
Vapid Ganado Retro Build

Rockstar also references Jason's Safehouse Vehicles, the Classic Car Collection, and mod shops including Rideout Customs and One Eyed Willie's.
These names are particularly useful because they do not depend on fan identification. They come directly from Rockstar's own GTA VI material.
Rockstar's official GTA VI editions information
The officially named models are only a small part of the visible roster.
Across the trailers, screenshots and Extended Look, Rockstar has shown a much wider range of modern performance cars, older American inspired vehicles, SUVs, sedans and off road models. Some are easy to identify because they are close to existing GTA vehicles, while others have been matched to real world automotive designs by the community.
That is where wording matters. A car that is clearly visible in official footage can reasonably be described as shown in GTA 6, but that does not mean Rockstar has officially published its model name.
For a researched vehicle guide, those two categories should remain separate.
Motorcycles are clearly part of the GTA 6 vehicles lineup.
Rockstar's official material shows motorcycles being used in Leonida, while the Extended Look gives us more examples of bikes moving through city streets and other environments.

The variety matters because motorcycles provide a different way to move through the world. They are smaller and more flexible than cars, making them useful in crowded areas and on tighter roads.
Rockstar has not published a final motorcycle count, so individual model names identified by fans should still be treated as community research unless Rockstar confirms them directly.
The Florida inspired setting makes boats much more important than they were in a typical city focused game.

Official footage shows speedboats, jet skis and other watercraft moving around Leonida, while Rockstar has also officially named the Shitzu Squalo in its edition material. The Extended Look gives us a better view of boating and other activities on the water.
That makes the vehicle system feel broader than a traditional GTA car collection. Players can move around Leonida by road or water depending on where they are and what they are trying to do.

Aircraft are another confirmed part of the game.

Rockstar's official promotional material features helicopters and other aircraft, and the wider GTA VI media library shows flying vehicles being used over the city and surrounding areas.
The complete aircraft lineup is still not known, but planes and helicopters are clearly established parts of the GTA 6 vehicle list.
The August 27 Extended Look was especially useful because it showed vehicles in context rather than simply placing them in promotional shots.
The presentation includes more driving, vehicle theft, police pursuits and water based activities. Rockstar says the footage was captured entirely from the game on PlayStation 5, making it one of the strongest official sources for examining how GTA VI handles transportation.
One of the more interesting changes is the way vehicle theft is presented. The footage suggests that stealing a car can involve more deliberate interaction than simply opening a door and driving away.
The bigger takeaway is that vehicles appear closely tied to the open world. They are not just collectibles sitting in garages. They are part of how Jason and Lucia move through Leonida and interact with the world around them.
Rockstar has already given us good evidence that customization will be part of the game.
Its official GTA VI material references Rideout Customs Mod Shop, One Eyed Willie's Mod Shop, Jason's Safehouse Vehicles, and the Ganado Retro Build.
That strongly suggests vehicle ownership and modification will matter. What Rockstar has not done is explain every customization option or confirm that the system will work exactly like GTA Online.
For now, the safest conclusion is that GTA 6 car customization is confirmed in principle, while the full depth of the system remains to be detailed.
There is no official final number.
Community databases already track hundreds of vehicles. GTABase currently lists 272 confirmed vehicles, while GTA Intel currently tracks 198 officially revealed vehicles.
The difference does not necessarily mean one database is wrong. These projects can use different rules for variants, newly identified models and what qualifies as confirmed.
For that reason, it would be misleading to say GTA 6 officially has 272 vehicles.
The safer answer is that hundreds of vehicles have already been identified from Rockstar's released material, but Rockstar has not published a final launch count.
Fans have already spotted plenty of familiar design language in the new footage, and several community databases identify possible returning models.
That does not mean every familiar GTA vehicle has officially returned.
When a model looks similar to a previous car, the identification can be useful for fans, but it should still be separated from vehicles Rockstar has actually named. A researched GTA 6 car list should avoid turning visual comparisons into official confirmations.
That is particularly important with popular names such as the Banshee and other returning vehicles discussed across community databases.
Leaked vehicles should remain separate from the main list.
Development material can come from older builds, incomplete files or vehicles that were later changed or removed. Even when a leaked model turns out to be genuine, that does not automatically prove it will appear in the final release.
For this reason, the main list here is built around Rockstar's official material. Leaked and unconfirmed vehicles should be treated as a separate category until they are supported by current official footage or announcements.
Rockstar has officially named several models, including the '95 Grotti Cheetah, '55 Vapid Stanier Sedan, '67 Vapid Dominator Buggy, Shitzu Squalo, and Vapid Ganado Retro Build. Many additional cars are visible in official trailers and the Extended Look.
Rockstar has not announced a final total. Community databases currently track hundreds of vehicles, but those numbers are independently compiled and can change as more official footage is released.

Not yet. Rockstar has officially named and shown many vehicles, but it has not published one complete master list covering every vehicle available at launch.
The GTA 6 car list is already large enough to show that vehicles will be a major part of the game.
Rockstar has officially named several cars and vehicle related features, while its trailers and Extended Look have revealed a much wider range of cars, motorcycles, boats and aircraft.
What remains unknown is the final launch roster and total number of vehicles. Community databases can help identify what has appeared so far, but they should not be confused with an official Rockstar list.
For now, the most reliable way to follow the GTA 6 vehicle list is to separate vehicles Rockstar has named, vehicles clearly shown in official footage, and models that remain community identified or leaked. That keeps the list useful without pretending Rockstar has revealed everything already.
